Welcome once again to A.J.Beatty’s Virtual Café! Hope you all have you’re yummy coffee handy!

While trying to research some fun facts for this morning’s blog, I learned some very interesting things about everyone’s favorite morning beverage. Here are only a few facts about coffee, and how it has become so popular today. Enjoy…

*The American Heritage Dictionary defines coffee as any of various tropical African shrubs or trees of the genus Coffea, especially C. arabica, widely cultivated in the tropics for their seeds that are dried, roasted, and ground to prepare a stimulating aromatic drink. The beanlike seeds of this plant, enclosed within a pulpy fruit. The beverage prepared from the seeds of this plant.

Coffee Plant

* Goats actually discovered the coffee plant. Their shepherd noticed that they were getting very hyper; therefore, one day, he followed their every move, and found one that they were eating a strange berry that was keeping them awake all day and night.

Baaah!

* The popular trend towards flavored coffees originated in the United States during the 1970’s.

Mmm!

Now go out there, and make use of all that sugar and caffeine in your system!

Hello Readers! I’m sure that the both of you have been wondering where the heck I’ve been. I’ll use the excuse that I just wanted to fit in with all the others cool writers and go on strike…No not really…I’ve actually been very very busy with work, and my studies for school. And let’s not forget squeezing in time for crafting and gaming!
I’ve realized in English today that it might be a smart idea to ask off for an additional day off at work, and use that day for additional studying, an well as dedicating myself to errands around home. But then on the other hand, I was looking for jokes today to post, and found this interesting little peice of information about anyone wanting a day off. Hope you like it!

So You Want A Day Off…

So you want a day off? Let’s take a look at what you are asking for!

There are 365 days this year.

There are 52 weeks per year in which you already have 2 days off per week, leaving 261 days available for work.

Since you spend 16 hours each day away from work, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available.

You spend 30 minutes each day on coffee break. That accounts for 23 days each year, leaving only 68 days available.

With a one hour lunch period each day, you have used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for work.

You normally spend 2 days per year on sick leave. This leaves you only 20 days available for work.

We are off for 5 holidays per year, so your available working time is down to 15 days.

We generously give you 14 days vacation per year which leaves only one day available for work and I’ll be damned if you’re going to take that day off!

I hate Mondays!

Have A Great Day!!!
